Senior Android Developer
Voicemod is not just software for gamers and streamers—it’s a whole universe of sonic creativity where technology and self-expression come together, enabling millions of people to craft their identity through real-time voice transformation.
Their obsession with innovation has led them to develop responsibly trained AI voices, ultra-low-latency effects that feel like magic, and yes, even hardware that brings voice changing to consoles too.
The best part? Behind it all is an international team with strong Valencian roots, fully remote-friendly, and genuinely passionate about gaming, music, and creativity.
If your curiosity is already tingling, don’t go anywhere—what comes next is very exciting. 👇👇
¿Qué harás?
💥 But first, let’s rewind a bit:
Voicemod was born in 2014 in Valencia, when three brothers—Jaime, Fernando, and Juan Bosch—came up with an idea that sounded like madness at the time: what if voice could become part of your digital identity?
What started as a quirky app has grown into a global phenomenon. Today, millions of gamers, streamers, and creators use Voicemod to express themselves and have fun, transforming their voice in real time with effects that feel straight out of science fiction. 🚀
Since then, their sonic universe has only expanded: Voice Changer, Soundboard, Voicelab, and even their own hardware device (Voicemod Key), bringing the magic to mobile devices, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch.
And yes—maybe it’s the mix of passion, creativity, and the unmistakable gamer culture made in Valencia 🎶—but today Voicemod is a global reference in real-time audio technology, with millions of downloads and sustained growth backing it up.

💥 Fast-forward to today:
Calling Voicemod “a company” doesn’t really do it justice.
It’s a full ecosystem of sonic creativity where technological innovation and self-expression go hand in hand. They work 100% remotely, have an international team (90+ people), and maintain a strong ethical commitment to AI (consented training data, watermarking in synthetic voices).
They’re also transitioning from a mostly offline app to an online platform enriched with community-generated content (UGC), which raises the bar on scalability and performance.
Here’s a taste of what they build:
🎤 Voicemod App – the heart of the product: real-time voice changing with hundreds of effects.
🎹 Voicelab – the playground where anyone can design their own voice.
🎮 Voicemod Key – hardware that brings voice-changing to consoles too.
💥 So… what will you be doing?
Voicemod is at a very special moment: after years of being primarily a desktop-focused product, they’ve finally unlocked the possibility of bringing the experience to mobile—something users have been begging for.
This move opens a massive growth opportunity for the coming years… which is why this role is strategic. This isn’t “just another Android position”: it’s a key role in building a new layer of the product that will be essential for 2026.
You’ll be shaping mobile experiences for gaming and new use cases, leveraging:
- A new hardware device that boosts performance
- A multiplatform environment built on Kotlin Multiplatform + Compose Multiplatform
- A visual layer that enables mini-interfaces inside games
- Fast-to-test features that users can try quickly
- A testing and code-quality ecosystem that is just starting to take shape
In short: they’re looking for a Mobile Engineer with strong judgment**, ownership,** and the desire to help scale a product that sits at the top tier of real-time audio tech. 🎧

Tu evolución

En 1 mes
You’ll have completed your onboarding and gone through a guided journey to dive into all things mobile at Voicemod. You’ll get familiar with their product, their way of working, the architecture, the tools, and the unique challenges of building real-time technology used by millions. 🎢
Tus responsabilidades
Designing and building new features for the mobile app end-to-end—from the technical proposal to deployment and production monitoring—ensuring everything shipped is stable, polished, and delightful for users.
Maintaining and evolving Android modules, refactoring when needed, optimizing performance, and ensuring long-term stability so the codebase stays solid and scalable.
Contributing to shared KMM modules—once you’re fully onboarded, you’ll help build the components used across Android and iOS, maximizing consistency and code reuse.
Writing and maintaining tests (unit, integration, and UI) to ensure features behave correctly across devices and prevent regressions.
Participating in code reviews, sharing best practices, raising technical quality, and helping keep the codebase clean, testable, and maintainable.
Diagnosing and solving complex problems, from performance bottlenecks to device-specific crashes and low-level bugs—leaving the app better than you found it.
¿Cómo lo harás?
Voicemod embraces a pragmatic approach to methodologies—no dogma, no theatrics.
They use whatever brings value to the team and the product at each moment. They organize themselves into cross-functional “mods” with product and design.
Their ceremonies follow a light scrumban style: short weekly planning, refinements as needed, and team-based retros.
Working as a Mobile Developer at Voicemod means being part of a highly collaborative and technical environment where the day-to-day revolves around aligning goals, clarifying dependencies, and staying coordinated.
Architecture decisions are made in design reviews, and development flows through merge requests and thoughtful code reviews in GitLab, with living documentation close to the repo.
They especially value people who can simplify without losing robustness, identify technical debt with real impact, and propose realistic improvement paths.
Less PowerPoint—more pull requests.
Communication is direct and transparent. The aim: reduce friction, shorten feedback loops, and measure what truly matters so decisions are backed by meaningful data.
The culture is remote-first, with overlap between 10:00 and 17:00 CET, plus 2–3 in-person gatherings per year to align, reconnect, and recharge. They avoid unnecessary bureaucracy and maintain high engineering standards.
Less ritual for the sake of ritual—more purpose, continuous delivery, and respect for everyone’s time.

¿Cuándo trabajarás?
Voicemod is truly remote-first, so you’ll work from wherever you’re most productive (home, coworking space, café with solid wifi…).
There’s full schedule flexibility, with a collaboration overlap ideally from 9:00–16:00 or 10:00–17:00 CET to keep teamwork smooth.
Coordination happens in Slack, and the code lives in GitLab—MRs + documentation next to the repo, minimizing blockers and maximizing flow.
And yes, if your favorite chair is next to your fridge, that’s totally valid. 😉
